In context of a youth exchange the Jugendförderung Nordkreis (Germany) met a youth group from the partnership city Deutschkreutz (Austria). The groups stood together on the island Sylt for 15days. Including a 3 day trip to Hamburg. The exchange should increase young peoples positive awareness of nature protection and ecological thinking.
Therefore the 40 peoples had to compete on different workshops with priority themes like "biosphere Wadden Sea". We intented, that the teenager could find some consistency between the themes of the workshops and their daily live. On purpose they transformed their new knowledge to their ecological acting.
An other main topic of the trip was to develop and consolidate the partnership between the cities and nations.
We hope, that this trip was just the first step. We wanted to build the base for other ecological projects between the two partnership cities.
