"We feel Europe" is a project which fosters intercultural competence among youngsters aged 14 - 18 years who come from the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Bosnia and Hercegovina and Austria. They will meet for an intercultural exchange at the youth centre in Rechberg/Rebrca. During the 8 days which they will spend there, the participants will present the different situations they find themselves in in their home countries. In lectures, workshops, presentations, discussion panels and field trips the youngsters will discuss and deal with their expectations and ideas of a united Europe; by looking at Europe more discriminately they should get a deeper understanding of Europe, especially of its cultural diversity and spirituality. The participants will work out the meaning and importance of education, an active citizenship, ecologic and sustainable behaviour, various forms of solidarity and mutual understanding and publish their findings in a videoclip and in the EUpaper. These results are also supposed to lead to further activities in these fields in the youngsters' home countries. Apart from the discussions and the work, the participants will have the opportunity to engage in sports and cultural activities all of which will have a special emphasis on solidarity.
