"We can do more"

Pasvalys Petras Vileišis gymnasium students’ representative and the partners have decided to implement the project "We can more!", which aims are to learn about the culture of other nations, to break the prevailing stereotypes, to introduce young people with opportunities in the European Union and motivate them to act, to take up the initiative not only in their native country but also abroad. The project will last for four months beginning with the 28th of February, 2015 and ending at the end of June, 2015. We are going to carry out the exchange in May. Each country is going to be represented by 10 students from municipality institutions, the rest part of the students will be invited from remoted small towns of a district. The participants of the project will be asked to make sure what stereotypes are prevalent in their closest environment. During the first days of the exchange all the participants are going to get acquainted with the project itself Erasmus+ and Youthpass. Also, each country will be briefly introduced using ethnic clothing, visual or audio material. The lecture about stereotypes in society and especially those among young people is going to be arranged. During the exchange in the "creative workshop" motivated videos are going to be created covering the following topics, as "Stereotypes not an obstacle for a young man", "What I am, such is the European Union". Make yourself free! Act! Improve yourself! All mentioned movies are going to be developed with the help of professional film directors and scriptwriters. During the exchange programme a trip to European Home and the other objects in Vilnius is foreseen. Also, the trip will include the meeting with the representatives of European commission in Lithuania, the representatives of Eurodesk in order to acquire closer insight to activities of European Union and their own possibilities to take part in it in the future. During the meetings with the citizens of Pasvalys district, especially the citizens of remote small towns in it and into MPS there will be a discussion held on topic "The Youth creating Europe: Past. Reality. Possibilities." After the lecture and discussions a short movie will be made "What am I, such is the European Union." Together with the representatives of Lithuanian Students’ Union and "Self Development School" meeting will be held on topic "Motivation and Its power", where the motivation "Free Yourself! Act! Improve yourself!' will be created. Later, all those earlier mentioned short films will be introduced to Pasvalys district remote towns communities. During the project (Various) activities of socialization, such as inter-cultural dance and cuisine parties will be arranged in order to make closer inter-relationship among the participants of the project. The main feature should be stressed-throughout the exchange-informal communication. It will be stimulated with the help of methodological occupations and games. Before the beginning of the exchange a beforehand visit is foreseen where future meetings, expectations and wishes will be coordinated. The results of the exchange are going to be spread through demonstrating short films in social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube. Project partners will spread the results of the project in their own countries. Thus, the project will help to get acquainted with cultures of other countries, enrich general knowledge about the field of activities for young people in European Union. It will also help to motivate the youth to take up initiatives in their native countries.
