We Can Do It - Jugendbegegnung für Menschen mit und ohne Behinderung
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Project We can do it!, a youth exchange for people with and without disabilities gives young participants a unique chance to get acquainted with the subject of disability through various activities done with peers. During the exchange young people not only take part in workshops and trips but also organise language animations, icebreakers and games. The whole programme gives the participants a great opportunity for an intercultural exchange, meeting people from all around Europe and working on the topic of disability. One of the main objectives of the project is that young people from 12 countries (among them representatives of West, Central and Eastern Europe as well as Caucasus) discuss their ideas and opinions about disability, compare the situation of disabled people in different countries and check how they are integrated with the local communities. All of those tasks are completed through activities based on informal learning. Through this project we would like to contribute to the process of social inclusion which means that each person is accepted as who he/she is. Equality of individuals is a core value of the project. Another aim, as it was in previous editions of the project, is to organise the project in possibly all of the countries that take part in the exchange. The project for which we are applying this year will be organized in the end of July in Yaroslavl (Russia).
