We are stronger together: Our right to social inclusion
Start date: Feb 1, 2011,

50 young persons with intellectual disabilities from Sweden, Germany, Spain, England, Latvia and Greece will get together in the city of Stockholm to participate in a six days meeting with Swedish politicians, disability policy delegates and representatives from the employment services to exchange ideas and debate with each other about how social inclusion for young people with intellectual disabilities is being designed in Europe. By carrying out the project “We are stronger together: Our right to social inclusion” the youngster wish to highlight the importance of Human Rights in order to rich participation and inclusion in society. They wish to tell decision makers about their need to equip themselves with the skills, knowlegde and opportunities necessary for them to have the chance to live independeltly and to actively participate as equal citizens at all levels of society. They hope as well to come up with new proposals that might make impact on politicians, employers and society in general. Workshops, ice-breakers, dramas, seminars and round tables will be some of the activity types during the Project. Contributions from each organisation in the field of Good Praxis will establish a theoretical framework and a common reference point for learning and communication.
