Start date: Sep 1, 2014,
End date: Jun 30, 2015
Throughout this project, 18 youth workers have had the opportunity to observe and get to know the tasks developed by other organizations and institutions in the field of youth.
The study visits have taken place in the United Kingdom and France in the following dates:
1st mobility - Glasgow & Edinburg - from the 25th until the 31st of January. - 2 youthworkers
2nd mobility - Glasgow & Edinburg - from the 20th until the 24th of April - 8 youthworkers
3rd mobility - Échirolles & Grenoble - from the 5th until the 9th of May - 8 youthworkers
In Inter Europa we believe in the need to foster the role of the youthworker and valorize and improve their work. we also consider that it is an added value for young people willing to become youthworkers to see how their work is developed in other European Countries and to share their experience with other colleagues in Europe.
For this reason, this project was addressed to people who want to acquire skills and competences in this field, broaden their knowledge and their views towards their own professional practice and improve their incorporation to the working environment.
The project consisted on an observation period in the UK and France. At a local level, the project will be coordinated by Light on the Path (Glasgow) and A.A.A.M.I. (Échirolles) that will help us to have a wider knowledge of the organizations that work in their local communities in the field of youth.
During the visits, participants have had the opportunity to become familiar with the structure of the organizations, the activities carried out, their target group, the methodology used, as well as the use of new technologies and other innovative methods. Thus, through non-formal education, the participants will acquire experience and practical knowledge that will serve them as a a good source of inspiration and will encourage them to continuously improve and search for innovation in their future tasks.
The main objectives of the project were:
- enabling participant's acquisition of knowledge and ideas through non formal education, promoting an intercultural awareness, tolerance and respect towards different methodologies and practices used in other countries and cultures.
- Encouraging participants and society in general to support experiences abroad and to promote mobility within Europe so taht people can acquire a feeling of unity and cooperation.
- By means of communicating with people from other nations, fostering the idea of multilinguism and creating in the participants
