WATER WATER EVERYWHERE.....

The Project WATER AND ARTS joins countries and schools from the South and North of Europe. It encourages students to develop their global knowledge of the causes and consequences of sustainable development. Preserving and rational use of natural resources is the main issue of this project. The goal is to encourage our students to save water resources and to use and illustrate their findings and ideas with various artistic tools. The project enables students to develop their cultural knowledge of Europe through arts and denouncing the waste, misuse and pollution of water.Students get European knowledge about water by studying the local rivers: L'Ain and Londaine (Champagnole), Gauja (Latvia), River Seyhan (Adana), Odra and Klodnika (Gliwice). They can establish strong relationships with students from other countries and cultures. They work with various European artists: photographers, musicians, painters, they discover local tales and legends in the different literatures...They also develop their own citizenship during the exploration of environmental issues. They develop their communicative skills in English. They meet workers from European and national labour markets: in national parks, town councils, tourist information centers, ministry of education, water purifying and clearing centers....
