The selected partner regions in Estonia and Belgium offer a wealth of diverse landscapes. The diversity is often underused or undervalued by the community. We are requesting the support of the local organizations in order to enable the population to enjoy the benefits of the landscapes. Each organization can contribute in its own way. They have both the technical expertise as well as a large number of active members. Educational institutions prepare future adults for the society. The students participating in the project are the selected audience to do field research and create results for the future generations. In the course of cooperation the best practice materials will be identified and translated into Dutch and Estonian and an ongoing evaluation and dissemination will be carried out.Objectives of the project:Local authorities:–Create a platform to raise awareness and understanding of the population of the value of wetlands. There is a need to absorb the information and ideas available and to create a unified approach to water and wetlands -Enhance cooperation between schools and associations to create added value which can be expanded to the whole community. The project products and experiences gained by participants help to increase respect to waterSchools:-Widen views of schools, teachers and pupils by bringing European perspective into the theme-Change the way of thinking and attitudes towards water and wetlands organise more outdoor activities and programs for pupils based on the main topic ‘Water- the source of life’. -Help children and adults value and enjoy the richness of waterscapes-Exchange good practices and experiences of teaching and learning Local partners:-Exchange information and good practices with the European partners.-Give input to the project, based on all the knowledge and expertise they have.
