The project was to conduct negotiations on ordering and delivering four biological wastewater treatment plants of diff erent sizes to the Republic of Karelia. Th e wastewater treatment plants were to be constructed on-site with local labour guided by Finnish experts. Th e plants were to be sold to municipal and state institutions as well as to private enterprises in the Republic of Karelia. Th e project was aborted, as it was not being implemented in accordance with the funding decision. No payments were made for the project.
