Project „Workshop at artists.” serves to complete the knowledge and skills of Catholic Secondary Art School students and its this year graduates and eventually other secondary art schools with new skills connected with creation of canonical icon and, in this different types of gilding and aging, preparation of the boards and the base, the technique of the creation of the iconic picture according to Greek rules, essential elements of the iconic canon and combining of fast artistic techniques in icon. The mobility of the staff serves making familiar with the specificity of creating a Greek icon and new methods of creating it which have never been used before in order to introduce these methods into teaching at school and reorganise the teaching process so the graduate has as many skills as possible in this area. In particular it will be useful to divide the area of icon education on optimum educational stages. 20 internee will take part in this project (as a part of mobility of the students) and 2 teachers (as a part of mobility of teaching staff) and 2 internees’ guardians. Participants of the students’ mobility are enlisted from among interested students or this year Catholic Secondary Art School graduates and eventually students from other art schools. Participants of the staff mobility are enlisted from among teachers of Catholic Secondary Art School in Nowy Sącz connected with subjects of the internship or interested in them which are integrated. Students will take part in English internship where they will make 3 icons and during these classes they will gain the following knowledge and skills:a) proceeding of woodb) carving in woodc) preparation of canvasd) creation of iconic picturee) gildingf) aging of the iconsg)carving in wood etc.h) the use of screen printing in iconThey will also gain knowledge in the area of materials science, organisation of the workshop, icon history and symbols and hagiographic painting canon.The teaching staff will reinforce their knowledge and skills in this area and with the help and cooperation with the workers of Zindros Company they will work out the conception of further teaching of the icon in the Catholic secondary Art School taking into account the possibility of future internships.Mobility methodology results from the specificity of art teaching which means the need of personal participation in workshops in the best and the most specialised centres of the particular discipline. It also serves the school needs as well as students’ in the area of job profession or specific way of teaching of students. During the internship students will also go on trips to learn about the history and the culture of the region.The results of the project will be skills mentioned above which will be certificated and confirmed by Europass and created icons works as well as new conceptions and teaching programs. The results will be published as a common workshop and tutorial films. Teaching programs and modified teaching process will serve the long-term effect of the project on the school. Another example of long-term effect will be reinforcing of the cooperation for future internships.
