We want to present to the participants the current context of labour market what concerns the Tourism sector in Europe and by the compared analysis of both countries we will try to share best practices and to learn from themThe project aim is to demonstrate young people how they can be integrated on the job market, in tourism sector, by mainly developing their organizational and entrepreneurial skills, learning about events industry, types of events (private, corporate), how to organize an event, what is a destination from a marketing and management point of view, participating in personal development activities and career guidance workshops. To achieve such ambitious results we intend that the youngsters own experience and opinions to be translated into tools to be applied in the professional field of Tourism at European level. This will be achieved by delivering as a main product of the project, the official promotion of both countries destinations in the soil of the two partner countries. This will be done by applying all the official knowledge and learning achieved during the project and certified by professionals of the tourism field. This product in order to be properly promoted will have the form of videos, posters and photos. At the end, we will deliver destination events Sicilly and in Santa Maria, Portugal. Besides that, this product will be available online for further dissemination.Taking into consideration the unemployment rate that hit Europe after the financial crisis, youth unemployment became a major concern. The main task is to find suitable integration of young people in the job market where there is an opportunity.This Project in a YE Project with participation of two partner countries: Portugal and Italy. This project will allow 40 youngsters from both countries to live in a multidisciplinary, multi task and multicultural environment for a period of 10 days in Santa Maria Island between 1st and 10th of March of 2016.During this project, the participants will take part of a work programme, which activities are in line with the methods used in informal and non-formal education. For such, we will offer participants a mixture of activities such as workshops, getting to know each other games, outdoor activities, cultural and linguistic exercises, debates, simulations, role play in different scenarios related with the tourism field, including companies and institutions specialized in this area.All the youngsters involved in this project will be encouraged to use their creativity and entrepreneurship in order to attract tourism in our countries. Besides that, we believe that by the development of this project we are enabling to make more young people integrated and with a specific focus for their educational, personal and professional development. By doing this, in a latter phase, after finishing the project, we wish the young participants to continue their specialization in this area and by monitoring them we intend to make them fully active entrepreneurs in this field.This will be achieved by working strongly in team by including participation of young people who are still looking for some kind of professional guidance. They need to know, to understand and see at a first sight what really involves organizing an event and promoting a destination and how this can be their next job.Therefore young participants will have a first glance of the economic development and job opportunities that this sector can bring to our regions and countries.
