Start date: Jan 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The topic of culture is often discussed due to it's nature. Culture is important in every discipline of life. Unfortunately a big problem of culture is that it is slowly changing, fading. Because of globalization and loosening the borders, because of the internet and other media, young people do not know their culture, more precisely they do not know their own legends or myths whic are an important part of their history. The participants met in Zamość to talk about the situation and see some potential problems. Art Avanti was an ideal place because of it's previous work in the field of art and theatre. Young people there had na ideal chance to learn about the legends from Poland. The participants are young people that are interested in varied forms of art as well as those that want to learn more about culture both their own as foreign ones. They were also people who want to work as youth workers, which can use a training in the details of public speaking. The two first days of the meeting revolved around integrational games and exercises, which purpouse will be to help shape the participants into a team. They also discussed the topic of stories, more precisely what they are, what characterises them, what are they used for. The next two days were focused on the main topic - stories and legends. The participants will work on writing their own legends as well as they will have a chance to tell some of the legends from their own countries. The last two days served to get to know the local culture and discovering how stories and legends are integrated into it. We presented the potential of Erasmus+ to the local population. During the trips through the region the participants will learn about the culture of Lubelszczyzna region. Work methods: integration games and workshops, language animation, presentation, trip, public speaking.
