The project "The Happy Paintbrush - every elf can know the great world" is a response to the identified needs of kindergarten and expectations of children parents. The project is aimed at:- Enabling children from disadvantaged backgrounds to be open up to the diversity of the cultures of other nations;- Improving the skills of teachers in the use of the English language;- Enrichment workshop on modern methods and forms of work with children;- Intensification of activities to prepare children to learn English;- Broaden the institutions activities and their scope in international domain.In the project there will be mainly involved 8 teachers (including director and deputy director): 6 will participate in language courses, and 2 in methodical one. The selection of participants will be done according to established criteria. Belong to them first of all: commitment to personal development, consistent improvement of skills in the use of the English language, the ability to share knowledge and experience with colleagues, number of developed educational projects, the number received in the past 5 years, awards, creativity, activity and openness to the new challenges and work in our kindergarten more than 5 years. During a language course abroad country the participants of the project will hear English language in his natural environment and they will speak in many situations of daily days. They will verify their knowledge during the conversation in every day routine. In this way they’re language competences will be brought up. To couples of participants will visit different, interesting places in London, Oxford, Cambridge and Malta. They will make photo documentary and videos. They will knew English and Maltin culture and customs. Then, they will share knowledge with co- workers and pupils. They will make this to innovative and attractive way. They will prepare multimedia presentation, chronicle about the time spent out of country. Participants will process program “Travels with Happy Little Brush- world” and they will enrich program “Letter in the Fairy Tales Land” which is already realized in kindergarten. They will use not only language abilities which they will earn, learned methods and forms of work, but also documentation and piled equipment prepared during the course . Following the concept of nursery work , where one of the main directions is the development of creative activity of children the teachers will develop three projects in e-twinning “Favorite fun places in my city”, “My favorite fairy tales”, “Songs and games of my childhood” and fine partners on e-twinning platform. While the language course project participants will establish cooperation with kindergarten , located in the village, where they will be accommodated . The location of nursery will be found before going to the course and participants of the course will get in touch with them through the available networks , eg . Email. During the visit they will give the director of the kindergarten issue of our newspaper "Happy moments with a brush " in the English version and encourage cooperation . Implementation of the project will be monitored and evaluated. Language skills will be assessed on the basis of language tests conducted before the journey and after returning. In the survey , participants will assess the level of achievement of the objectives . The documentary analysis made by the director of the nursery will determine the level of realization of the tasks. Observation activities conducted by the project participants with children will show how the knowledge gained has been used in practice and whether there was an increase of children's skills . We hope that the project " The Jolly Brush- every elf can know the great world " will help not only to improve the language skills of our 8 teachers, but will significantly improve the quality of work in kindergarten .We hope that the project will meet the expectations of the parents of our pupils. Children from poor families who cannot afford to travel abroad will have a greater opportunity to learn the language and culture of other countries. Implemented by teachers in our kindergarten projects will by developed and enriched with new , interesting content. It will also increase the quality of the activities undertaken in the framework of e- Twinning . Fluency in English will help us to be active on the platform , what undoubtedly will affect in promotion of kindergarten. Breaking of language barriers will allowed more effective international cooperation and more efficient search for partners , in the longer term participation in projects under the Strategic Partnership . Our facility will become a European dimension.
