W drodze ku jakości
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

XXI century has brought a lot of changes into Polish Educational System. Discussions about the 6th grade test and new structure of GCSE exams, widespread usage of ICT technology and The Bologna Treaty- all these factors impose high professional and psychological requirements on a good teacher. Modern teachers not only must be open to the world but they also have to teach with the quality at the world's level. The main objective of our project is to increase the quality of education in our school. Our partners in this project will be European in-service training organizations which have introduced innovative methods of teaching, creative approach to educational needs and focuse on learners' strengths to build up their self-confidence while working on their weaknesses. Teachers of different subjects will participate in this project. During in-service training our teachers will be able to experience the examples of good practice, to explore new ICT tools themselves and estimate the usefulness of those new methods and techniques in their own class. They will also assess the importance of the digital diary, observe computerized teaching or usage of e-books during the class. They will experience how the process of individualization of tasks is possible due to ICT tools and how to do project work with primary school pupils. The aim of the teachers’ mobilities will be to gain practical knowledge in these areas, to share experience with their colleagues from the courses how to increase the quality of teaching different subjects and how to introduce creative teaching methods into our school, which promote innovation and bring European dimension to our School Curriculum. We would like to join the net of educational institutions that have been using European mobilities and start long-lasting international cooperation with partners' schools all over Europe. Being acquainted with the management policy at schools abroad will also help us produce a new European Development Plan for our institution and outline its new development strategies.. The results of such cooperation will be seen during attractive lessons supported by means of ICT tools and in the educational process of greater individualization. It will increase students' activity, reduce school stress, decrease school absence, strengthen their involvement into their personal development and knowledge acquisition. Such activities will improve students' attitude to school duties and, as a result, their level of knowledge will rise, which will bring better results in the final exams. We are planning to start the project in June 2016 and finish in May 2018. During this time 20 our teachers will take part in different in-service professional training courses in English all aroun Europe. We are planning to send two teachers of different specializations for each course so as they will be able to support each other in practice and in language, which will bring benefits in different aspects of teaching. Every mobility will take place during summer holidays so as not to disturb our educational process during the school year. In this way, our teachers’ professional training will be in accordance with their needs to enhance their competences in their subject didactics and to confront their own teaching methods with those newly presented ones based on ICT tools. However, the main goal of our project is to improve the knowledge of English and multi- cultural competence among our staff with the view to get suitable qualifications and gain experience in bilingual teaching. Such initiative will widen our school educational offer and attract more students. All the project members will be acquainted with the policy of leading classes in English so at the end of the project we will be able to produce special Curriculum for the class in which many subjects will be taught in English and open it in the nearest future. Participation in the courses will help our teachers gain additional professional and language qualifications which will help them put their new knowledge into practice after the mobility. Every project member will get Europass Language Passport and Europass Mobility documents to prove their acquired skills. By applying new ICT tools in English in the classroom, starting from the low primary level, will we be able to enhance cross-curricular linking process and develop our students' foreign language competences. Consequently, not only will we gain our own professional staff to teach in a bilingual class, but we will also prepare our students to undergo its Curriculum. Only participation in international in-service training courses and need to communicate with other teachers in a foreign language can bring expected positive results for both the school and the teachers.
