The project originated on the basis of long term tendency of the pedagogical team of the Kunovice U Pálenice school to teach in accordance with modern tendencies. It established in accordance with the necessity of reaction to the changing role of a teacher, of his new tasks. The Kunovice U Pálenice pedagogical team is closely watching these tendencies in domestic education, in many cases even the trendsetter. But our teachers did not have a good overview of similar tendencies abroad. Program Erasmus plus, in particular activity KA1, mobility of learners and staff, has offered them ideal opportunity for a change. The targets of this project are as followed : – To improve competencies of school management. Therefore we have focused our attention to schools from such countries, which are in the long term on the top of the European education in international inquiries of comparison. – To improve competencies of school staff. Thanks to the knowledge of international schools we would like to increase competencies of other staff of the school in such way, so they would be motivated for preparation and realization of all activities , which would lead to belonging between students and the school. – To search for new educational methods or tools. We have focused especially on using IT technologies in teaching. We are interested in such methods, which are used with the help of IT at international schools. In general we are concerned about all educational methods, which mean a move from emphasis on knowledge to emphasis on skills and knowledge application. - To highlight European dimension of the school. We wish to work in such way so our standards are in line with other school in Europe. For our students similar projects help especially to improve knowledge about Europe, they develop sense of tolerance and variety of understanding. – To improve language competencies of teachers and students. – To compare different ways of working with socially disadvantaged students at Czech and international schools. There will be 24 employees of our school involve in this project activities. a/ School management b/Teachers of vocational subjects c/ Teachers of primary school d/Caregivers of after school care e/ School psychologist We believe that the plan of our general activities is quite complex. We are not only looking for educational courses as the easiest way of meeting the general plan for mobilities, but we prefer cooperation between schools. We believe that after systematic search we have found partners schools which correspond with the identified needs of our organization and its other development. The project includes these activities: Teaching assignment- two our teachers will teach at school in Ireland /physical education and chemistry/, two teachers will teach at school in Slovenia /subjects of primary school/, two teachers will teach in Italy /history, subjects of primary school/, one teacher will teach in Hungary / English language/. School management with IT teacher will shadow work of their colleagues in Finland. Staff training a/Participation on courses and trainings abroad-these activities are used to improve vocational level of our teachers. b/Job shadowing – we are going to shadow the work of our international colleagues in Finland, Ireland, Slovenia, Hungary and Italy. During the project management we will be using standard methodological procedures. Not only for practical and logistic formalities of the projects but also for the quality and project management there will be set up a project team. Intended results, project affection and its long term contribution: The prospective result of this project is fulfilment of identified needs of school. Specifically: - Increase of management competences - Competences of employees - New educational methods - European dimension - Language competences - IT competences - Education and teaching organization - Work with disadvantaged students Our school can get significant competitive advantage of other schools from our town thanks to this project.
