The project comes out of the school plan and aims to strengthen and increase the foreign language competences of the school management and teachers. Our goals are to increase the quality of education provided to our pupils, to open the opportunities of the international cooperation to pupils as well as to teachers, to bring the culture and traditions of the European countries closer to them and thus to ensure better preparation of them for the future live and their employment on the labour market not only in the Czech Republic but also in the EU countries. As we see it one of the ways to achieve these goals is the implementation of language training courses for our stuff abroad. Therefore we want to implement the two-week language trainings for 5 employees during the holidays: - 2 members of the school management, - 2 German language teachers, - 1 teacher of mathematics and computer science The above-mentioned employees themselves feel the need to improve their foreign language skills to be used both during teaching (i.e. new teaching methods, current vocabulary, the use of foreign language teaching materials) and in project activities where they can use the newly gained language skills in cooperation with the foreign organizations. Similarly, they will use these skills for their further education (i.e. participation in the international conferences, seminars and training courses). The educational project activities will be implemented with the support of the companies providing the language courses. The final selection of the participants and the language trainings will be made by the project manager in cooperation with the school management according to the language level, requirements for learning and the interest of the prospective participants. Results of the language trainings will be used directly by the participants in several fields, i.e. in the management of the school, in the continuing education of teachers, in educational process itself, in the course of international projects preparation and eventually will be incorporated into the school curricula. Arising materials will be available to all teachers at the school via shared disk in the school's IT network. The long-term benefits of the project will be: - intensification of linguistic and didactic competencies, - developing methods and procedures to transfer the acquired work experience and good practices in circumstances of our school, - individual development of the participants in linguistic and cultural sphere, the increase in self-confidence, - mutual exchange of experience and good practices with course participants representing other countries and cultures, - entering into international partnership, - increase in the school prestige
