Voluntary support of kids in informal learning for labour and society

The project is dealing with problems of the Slovak and Czech partnership ( Salesian Association of Don Bosco, DOMKA, SAVIO and Salesian Youth Movement) , existing programs used for a training and preparation of the volunteers are not motivating enough for long term cooperation and don’t develop the key competencies for further help and assistance. The reason for that is lack of qualified volunteers that should be participating in programs and understand the salesian environment. The solution is to transform and the actual educational system and to motivate the young volunteers for further participation continually. Project objectives are: C1. Improve the educational system by studying of the materials and new sources divided into three stages. C2. Include the members of salesian organizations in educational process of new the volunteers. C3. Ensure the involvement and coordination with other Salesian centres in general. The activities of the project are two international meetings, training in three stages: volunteers- animators, development of the volunteering in general and volunteers as specialists. The outcomes of the project include study texts for volunteers I. and ll. stage and also the methodology for all levels of different degrees of volunteering. Project includes certificate of acquired skills, database of international competencies according the skills of the volunteer. The project will directly support over 100 young people and youth workers and even after the end will be available during the hundredsof young people in the Czech Republic and also Slovakia. The project is innovative in terms of new partnership, content and also has an impact on other local centres in the whole territory of Czech Republic and Slovakia.
