voluntART - umetnost prostovoljstva, umetnost kreativnosti
Start date: May 2, 2011,

The multilateral youth exchange will be hosted by the Youth Centre BreLlice, Slovenia, and will last 10 days (2nd of August to 11th of August 2011). During the exchange, 36 young people from 6 Euroepan countries (Italy, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Spain and Slovenia) shall acquire valuable experiences of cooperation, intercultural dialogue and unbound creativity. The exchange has the aim of promoting the volunteering and empowerment of youngsters to multiply the volunteering enthusiasm among their peers. They should achieve this through their own innovative strategies of peer volunteering empowerment; that would consequently accelerate their social and professional development. The main goal is to raise positive awareness of voluntering, cultural diversity, and to strengthen creative European youth cooperation. The youth exchange is going to provide a safe environment which will allow the exploration and challenging of topics related to volunteering, cultural diversity, intercultural awareness, non-formal education and will make a great effort to foster creativity and strengthen participants' self-esteem. Alongside the group building activities, country presentations, excursions, meeting local volunteers, and more, each participant will get the opportunity to explore the common topic intensively through one of the following creative arts: Theatre, Video, Photography, Graffiti/Street Art and Music. While bringing together people from different countries we will ensure that the interaction between people from different cultural backgrouds can explore perceptions, attitudes and methods related to the topic of volunteering. At the same time, the participants will be able to identify common values and create strategies to promote volunteering in their organisations and their communities in general.
