Volontariat et compétences : comment valoriser les compétences acquises pendant son volontariat?
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Jan 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Structured dialogue : Volunteering and skills : how to enhance the skills acquired during the voluntary work ? Beyond the commitment of these young people , volunteering is a carrier of expertise and know- be transferable into associations and professional world. But the skills acquired during volunteering are still not so much recognized and valued by the public authorities and professionals of the world of work. This project therefore has three objectives: - Enhance youth volunteering as a real period of civic engagement , action in favor of the public interest / public utility, to highlight the role of these young people involved in the democratic space . - Enhance the skills and knowledge acquired on the labor market, to promote the employability of young people at the end of their period of volunteering. - Recognise and enhance life skills acquired by volunteers during their engagement , more difficult to formalize but equally important in the course of the young (self-confidence , ability to speak , compliance frameworks, building networks , etc. . ) To enable volunteers to be involved in recognition of the skills they have developed during their volunteering , we want to establish a working group of fifteen volunteers from Lorraine region , in order to organize a day of meeting between volunteers and policy makers and experts of the youth sector (institutional officials, elected and executives in charge of youth issues , volunteering and integration on the labor sector ), during which volunteers can present themselves key elements from their backgrounds volunteer and interact directly with them on aspects of valuation and recognition of these skills.
