Vocational Polish Materials - Supporting the Competitiveness and Entrepreneurship of UK SMEs in Poland through the Development of Innovative Vocational Polish Language Training Materials

The Vocational Polish Materials project will design and introduce a Polish language-training programme and develop a series of language support materials for UK companies (particularly SMEs) within Poland.Materials will comprise a student coursebook, a self-study programme for students, a language learning cassette and a trainers guide and will be produced on CD-Rom (mainly in PL with certain instructional material in EN) encouraging the use of electronic medium for circulation and thus increasing distance learning access. The underlying principle of the training programme states that materials should be task based in nature, related, where possible, to the nature of SME activity, based upon authentic materials and comprising an element of cultural training.A sample group of 100 managers and employees will be chosen from SMEs within the partner countries for piloting of the language materials (to undergo a one-week testing course), in addition initial distance learning testing will be undergone.Final materials will be made available both through CD-Rom and via partner internet sites with a series of seminars planned for both language trainers and potential beneficiaries in both partner countries.Further dissemination is planned through the release of promotional articles in relevant press & journals and through the use of related internet platforms such as the Linguarama website.
