The Förderverein WorldSkills Liechtenstein fosters the dual vocational training system in Liechtenstein. It gets involved in the organisation for the vocational training competitions and announces the merits of the young professionals in public. The follow-up project VET Excellence 2016 aims for an extension of the trainers know-how and vocational education and training of the young talents on international level. Different actors are invited in order to respond more flexible to the dynamic processes in the work environment and consequently to increase the competitiveness. The planned 27 mobilities for trainers and trainees include the participation in the Italian, Austrian and German championships and even in the professional European championships in Goteborg. This international platform makes it possible for trainers to exchange their know-how and it is ideal for young talented people to train for the professional world championships. More over industrial placements and job-shadowings in Sweden are planned as well as advanced training in educational institutions in different member countries for trainers in order to emphasis the professional education on an international level. In parallel, trainees for the world championships get the chance to attend specific professional courses and on-the-job training for two or more weeks. The Erasmus+ project makes an important contribution to the professional education in Liechtenstein on an international level. It supports trainers in the professional education to widen their horizons within international networks. At the dynamic work environment it is necessary to question and extend professional qualifications, know-how and work methods. This project enables trainers to exchange their know-how between each other in the context of professional standards on international championships. All participants benefit from the extension of their professional, social, linguistic and cross-cultural competences. Furthermore, the professional education gets more attractive which makes it easier to recruit young people on local, regional and national level.
