Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Comfortable, cooperative and European learning environment No international projects have been organised in our school for a decade. The new National Curriculum encompasses new challenges for teachers including information technology, interdisciplinary learning and comfortable learning atmosphere. In additon the on-going school renovation has brought its own challenges for our learning and teaching environment. The aims of the project are teachers' in-service training from their own personal and subject related perspectives that can be implemented in school work interdisciplinarily and on all grades. The teachers' in-service training focuses on acquiring new motivating teaching methods and developing the use of IT. In addtion to this, one of the aims is to build new networks and establish international contacts that can be used later for applying for the Erasmus + KA2 project. Seven teachers from different subject departments take part in the project - 4 language teachers, history, social studies and R.E. teacher, P.E. teacher and a special needs teacher all of whom have some international experience and are motivated to develop their learning in the areas mentioned above. The project has 7 leaning mobility activities which focus on IT and social media in learning, new teaching methods and learning environments as well as international cooperation. The expected outcome of the project are the increase in students' learning motivation through the use of new methods and tools. In addtion teachers' work satisfaction increases with the acquisition of new ideas and international contacts. The results of the project can be used in preparing for the new National Curriculum in 2017.
