Diversity instead of simplicity – intercultural learning in Jugendwerk is a learning project for 12 months in the nonprofit organization Jugendwerk der AWO Wuerttemberg. The European Volunteer Milan Cvetuljski from Bosnia and Herzegowina will have his working place in the office of Jugendwerk der AWO Wuerttemberg (Center of Stuttgart). The volunteer will be active in the field of intercultural learning, will have the opportunity to develop his own project in the area of mobility of young Europeans and European awareness. Milan is an active volunteer at his Sending Organization from Bosnia and Herzegowina and he will contribute with his experience to develop his own project in the frame of Diversity instead of simplicity – intercultural learning in Jugendwerk , which is part of a sustainable strategy of intercultural opening of the youth organization. The aim is to help with the integration of young people with a migration background and to establish local awareness of cultural diversity as potential and chance to our society. Milan will be involved in several integration projects for young people with different social, cultural and regional backgrounds, and will contribute to the networking of the volunteers in Baden-Wuerttemberg/Stuttgart. He will be supported by a pedagogical team leader and tutor, to help him to implement his own ideas in different type of projects. There will be methods used from the diversity conscious international youth work and out of Europe-conscious education.
