Diversity instead of simplicity – intercultural learning in Jugendwerk is a learning project for 12 months in the nonprofit organization Jugendwerk der AWO Wuerttemberg. The European Volunteer Diana Asoyan from Armenia will have her working place in the office of Jugendwerk der AWO Wuerttemberg (Center of Stuttgart). The volunteer will be active in the field of intercultural learning, will have the opportunity to develop her own project in the area of mobility of young Europeans and will be active in the field of social integration through sports and outdoor activities for young people in different kind of international youth projects. Diana Asoyan is an active volunteer at his Sending Organization from Armenia and she will contribute with her experience to develop her own project in the frame of Diversity instead of simplicity – intercultural learning in Jugendwerk , which is part of a sustainable strategy of intercultural opening of the youth organization. The aim is to help with the integration of young people with a migration background and to establish local awareness of cultural diversity as potential and chance to our society. Diana Asoyan will be involved in several integration projects for young people with different social, cultural and regional backgrounds, and will contribute to the networking of the volunteers in Baden-Wuerttemberg/Stuttgart. Diana will be supported by a pedagogical team leader and a tutor, to help her to implement her own ideas in different type of projects. There will be methods used from the diversity conscious international youth work and education.
