Viaţa şcolii în dimensiune virtuală. Comunicare creativă pe platforme digitale.
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project “Life of school in virtual dimension. Creative communication on digital platforms” starts from the new reality, changed by the progress of technology and the extension of the use of mobile devices among the students. As it is shown in the Report on the teaching system for 2014, published by the European Commission (https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/sites/default/2014-nmc-horizon-report-eu-en_online.pdf) there are currently two major trends: the change of teachers’ role as a follow up of ICT progress and the growth of the role of social networks like Facebook or Twitter, which entered already in class activities. The main objective of the course is to enable teachers how to use modern technologies in their teaching activity. The topics we propose refer to the methodology of learning through projects, correctly use of interactive whiteboards, increasing of students’ independence during the learning process by the use of mobile devices, realization of digital films and creative use of them in students’ projects coordinated by teachers. Forasmuch at national level and in the European Union the significance of new technologies is increasing, we proposed the following specific objectives: - The improvement of the class activity by using interactive learning-teaching methods as well as computer technologies - The improvement of design of extracurricular activities which will integrate students’ creativity with the use of modern communication technologies - The improvement of our own professional activity by attending training courses abroad and by publishing methodological reports inspired from the training sessions. In order to achieve these objectives, we have proposed that a number of 6 teachers will attend training courses in the European Union. The teaching staff, who will be selected according to the criteria presented in the application, will attend 3 different categories of courses: 1."Interactive media for "interactive" teaching and learning", organized by Bios Life Long Learning Centre, Cyprus. The aim of the course is to make participants familiar with the use of technology in the classroom showing good practice examples and explaining the methodology of ICT supported teaching and learning. The course is divided into thematic sessions each starting with a presentation followed by discussions and project work in groups, the results of which will be applied in the class. Contacts between participants and sharing experiences will continue after finishing the course by E-mail or on the blog of the Bios Centre 2. "eLearning@Social Media" is organized by Training Malta, Malta. The objectives of the course are: • Enables participants to learn how to use and implement Web 2.0 tools in their eLearning • Making eLearning combined with social media accessible even to non-technical persons • Hands-on use of several tools - commercial tools and open-source tools 3."Teaching creativity in schools, inspired by Eduard de Bono" is organized by Skupina Primera, Slovenia, PIC 949416601. The main objective of the course is to prepare participants to professionally lead creative and constructive thinking sessions in schools or their organizations for the whole school year (once a week). By the end of the course, participants will have a substantial understanding of creative and constructive thinking framework and models, which they can apply to all levels of the scholar system. The final outcome of the project will be an interactive online platform, which will be hosted on the server of an IT company which belongs to a former student of our school. The platform will integrate lessons for different subjects, evaluation quizzes, school documents, blogs, local social network, movies made by students, images, draw arts made by students, different projects results. The contributions will be posted by teachers and students as well. The students’ contributions will become public only after they will be validated by teachers. The platform will be accessed from the computers and also from the personal mobile devices, by wireless connection. The project activities will be presented within a dissemination campaign at different levels: school, regional and local community, using Power Point slide shows, panels, press releases, online articles, scientifically and methodological reports at teachers meetings. We expect a significant positive impact of the project on teachers, students and school. We expect that after the courses the participating teachers will acquire new ICT skills that they will use in their class activity. Teaching activity will expand beyond the class by extracurricular activities. The European dimension in education will increase in our school together with involving of teachers and students in European projects. On long term we hope that the attractiveness of the school will increase among students whose propensity of using mobile devices will be valued in a creative way by implementing this project.
