The realization of a lifelong learning and mobility in combination with the further development and improvement of teaching English classes is an important aspect in view of the increasing globalization as the resulting need of communicative and intercultural competences. This project aimed and aims to extend and improve the English speaking abilities of our two English teachers Ms. Kolz-Bieshaar and Ms. Seebeck-Mundt. Furthermore we expect that their methodical and didactic competences have been extended and consolidated by participating in the one week courses “Storyline goes language teaching” and “Storyline working towards inclusion” in Great Britain. Resulting from the participation Ms. Kolz-Bieshaar and Ms. Seebeck-Mundt reflect their own teaching and carry their newly gained knowledge concerning the teaching methods, techniques and materials into their every day school life with regard to the inclusion of children with special needs. Now our school can add a major element to our aim to counteract educational disadvantage by giving access to a high quality educational offer and by promoting social and educational inclusion. By finishing the courses Ms: Kolz-Bieshaar and Ms. Seebeck-Mundt increased the interest of their colleagues and pupils in European themes and widened the European dimension of work at our school.
