Vers une section européenne
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The vocational high school Brossaud Blancho offers an important variety of trainings to more than 800 students both in Industry and Services. The school is leading an active policy for a cultural and international opening. It’s one to the most important objectives of the school. Our aim is to open a European section. Today, our school lacks of qualified teachers to provide Non Linguistic Subject (NLS) lessons and enable the opening of a European section. One qualified teacher in NLS- who already teaches NLS- and four other teachers in the process of being qualified in 2014 are applying for mobility. This mobility will help the teachers to get confidence in speaking English, to master vocabulary and manage a class in a foreign language. It will also enable them to better use educational resources available on Internet, to set up virtual exchanges via e-twinning and to think about NLS teaching. At school, teachers’ training will have an immediate impact since an increase in NLS teaching is planned at the start of the school year 2014: 3 or 4 groups instead of only 1 group this year. This development will reinforce the project of international opening of the school in accordance with the Academic project. It will contribute to promote the image of the school and therefore improve the exam results. As regards the students, not only will their language skills certainly improve but we can reasonably believe that there will be a positive effect on their motivation and the way they’ll choose a company for their work placement. Eventually, the students will benefit from a training enriched with their experience abroad. They will find a job more easily thanks to their Europass CV and their Europass mobility passport. The school will benefit from an international radiance
