We are seven teachers of infant school in a rural area. We're all teaching english to our pupils from 6 to 11 years old. Our language level are various. Our teaching team is stable for more than ten years and we strongly feel the need to better train us in English language in order to better teach our pupils.With this state of mind, our goals are:- to develop our language skills and to improve our comfort with our pupils in order to be able to speak fluently.- to renew and match up our teaching practices to teach English more efficiently.- to set up Europeans correspondence projects, in particular with eTwinning hub.- Awaken the curiosity of our pupils beyond our borders.To achieve these aims, we have chosen three different weeks of trainings in Ireland, England and Scotland. We will attend language courses in the morning and teaching skills courses in the afternoon.We expect much from those training courses: as almost all the teaching staff of our school wishes to participate, we will give a new surge to language teaching in our school. We will lead a reflection on learning English: this language has to be an essential background of our future Europeans community and it's up to us, teachers to improve global knowledge.We are commited to bring our pupils in European citizenship. Our discoveries classes projects (Poland, England, Belgium) are the witness and we wish to continue with several eTwinning projects.We want to become an European opened school with teaching English in various matters. We really need this training to get there.
