Verbesserung der internationalen Kontakte und Weiterbildung
Start date: Jul 31, 2016, End date: Jul 30, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

English summaryTo improve language versatility and methodological strategies in teaching English at our school we would like to send a member of our staff on a language and methodology course to Ireland in August 2016. This is meant as a starting point since we are planning to send more colleagues in the future. The focus of this project is on the use of all sorts of media in the classroom and also on ideas how to cope with students from a varying cultural background. We thus hope to improve the quality of teaching English at our school to motivate our students for working in a globalized world. So far there have been different exchange programmes at our school that show our interest in international relations. Teacher training courses abroad enhance that idea. There will be conferences held at the school that make sure the experience gained in Irland is going to be spread, its practicability discussed and evaluated. The member of staff we have chosen took part in an Erasmus-programme at a University in Great Britain and also worked for a year as teaching assistant in the UK. She has already organised an exchange programme with an American school in Stuttgart and would like to get in touch with an English-speaking school in Europe - or learn how to build up a contact via internet. Being a small project to start with we hope to broaden the range of possibilities both within our school and the institutions abroad. We are looking forward to a positive communicative development.
