According to our schedule for school development we want to take part in European projects with as many pupils as possible. Lots of our teachers who are willing to work on such projects are afraid of not having sufficient knowledge and skills in the English language, which is required therefore. Due to this it is necessary for most of the participating teachers to imrove their skills and competences in English communication. We want to achieve this by doing the English course in Malta. The improved English skills should be incorporated in the classroom and thereby the English communication skills of students should also be improved. English is going to be the communication language for the Erasmusplus project “ACT in Europe”. The project is coordinated by our school staff and we execute it with partner schools from Slovakia, Hungary, Spain, Poland and Germany. So a good knowledge of English is essential for us. Further more quite a number of English-speaking “job coaches” will be needed especially for the application trainings in English, which are part of our project “ACT in Europe”. In addition, we want to ensure that increased cross-border projects are carried out and the interest of colleagues in bilingual education should be encouraged.
