Verbesserung der Fähigkeiten des bilingualen Unterrichts zur Internationalisierung
Start date: Aug 8, 2016, End date: Aug 7, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The teacher training CLIL Content and Language Integrated Learning Course, which were attended by two teachers of the Wiesenschule-Oberschule Jüterbog in summer 2016 has included integrating pupils from different cultures in the lessons as a project goal.Project background is the enormous increase of pupils with no german origin with the status "Einzugliedernde". Enormous language barriers get a degree related subject teaching impossible. The concerned students are already brought in a welcome classin order to learn the german language. In order to promote the integration into the overall student body, the pupils of the welcome class were additionally divided into regular, age appropriated classes and grade levels. However, they regulary visit art and sport lessons and all-day instruction. However, their german skills are therefore not yet sufficient to reach the target class set. The teachers, who are an art and classteacher and even a sports and class teachers, translate the tasks, or the school organisational consequently into english, what is understood by the majority of the student body of the welcome class. However, the English language skills of the teachers participating in the project are currently not sufficient to make all pupils at the bilingual advantage. That's why participation in the CLIL -Course is planned by non english teachers who teach their subject in english language, this will be discussed. We expect the project to improve access to the students who are not proficient in german, and an internationalization of the students who have learnt german as their mother tongue.
