A language is not static but something that develops further permanently. The same is true for the social and the public situation in the country where the language is spoken. As we are a school which enables the students to achiev the highest school certificate in Bavaria, the "Allgemeine Hochschulreife", it is our reponsibility to teach our students according to the highest possible standard of foreign language teaching. Therefore it is highly important to constantly undergo further training in order to present language and interkultural developments in an authentic way to our students and thereby ensure their longterm success in school and beyond. The person, who should do this further training, should be a member of the English-faculty with a high personal interest in going to such a training and he or she should be willing to share the new gained knowledge among all other colleagues. Also he or she should implement the results of the training into classes. The next step will be that the chosen teacher informs himself about the offered classes and courses in the United Kingdom about the aforementioned aspects and chooses, together with the headmaster, a suitable training. Before the departure there will be a meeting of all English-teacher of this and the neighboring school to prepare the training and the same will happen after the return to multiply and consolidate the results. In the long run we want to offer our students modern language classes, which also contain up-to-date information about the United Kingdom. This should enable them to gain intercultural competence and act competently in the world of business and studies.
