General: The 3rd High School of Serres, Greece, took part in Erasmus + Teacher Mobility KA1 action, which was implemented in Hamburg (1-5/12/2014) and Porto (7-14/03/2015). This program was funded by the European Commission. The National Management Agency was the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) and the implementation agency was the Ifel Institut. The theme was “Project management for cross-cultural exchange projects in Europe”. Background: First there was an in-situ monitoring work in secondary schools in Hamburg, Germany (job shadowing). Participants: Project, which brought together educators from five different European countries, attended two foreign language teachers of our school, Mrs Christina Koutidoy, English teacher and Mrs Oustria Apostolina, German teacher. The English teacher attended two bilingual high schools, where the majority of pupils had German as a mother tongue, and all the courses were taught in English. The German teacher attended two "multidisciplinary" schools attended by all categories of students, many of whom are of different nationalities. Activities Description: The teachers came into contact with a wide variety of teaching methods, common component of which were the teamwork, by enabling students of different abilities in team, experimential approach and use of new technologies. The training was highly informative. This was achieved with the application of modern teaching methods and a variety of educational activities, such as work in plenary, discussion in pairs and small groups, taking roles, sessions with interactive tasks etc. Results / Impact/ Long term benefits: The contact with other teachers from different countries and the exchange of views was constructive and established links for future cooperation and development of new tools and new teaching approaches. The acquisition of all of this knowledge and experience has been discussed with our colleagues and students, in order to sustain the interest for KA1 programs, but also to open the way for partnerships KA2 in the ERASMUS+ program in the coming years. Background: In a second phase the program was continued in Porto, Portugal from 7 to March 14, 2015. Participants: Six professors from different disciplines of school: Alexander Aspriadis Pr. of Informatics, Apostolina Ustria Pr. of German, Helen Kaftantzi Physician, Zafiropoulou Sophia and Basilici Zetta Philologists and Koutidou Christina Pr.of English, which was the coordinator of the program. Aims : The purpose was to expand understanding of participants on the implementation, development, planning and management of European projects. Specifically, the goal of the course was twofold: on the one hand, the detailed presentation of Erasmus + program, and on the other hand, the implementation of various intercultural activities with active participation and cooperation of the participants, so that any limits on intercultural communication can be overcome and successful future projects can be implemented. Activities Description: The course lasted 48 hours and consisted of theoretical and practical activities, as well as analysis of case studies. Specifically included: • Overview of relevant European funding programs • Information sources and useful information analysis indicators on programs • Partner Search Strategies • Roles of partners in the management of a program • Financial management program • Control program • Evaluation, dissemination and exploitation strategies. • Common problems and how to avoid • Intercultural communication strategies. Results / Impact/ Long term benefits: As a follow up after the course, participants exchanged our experience in project management through the electronic platform of the program as well as through a social web platform created so that cooperation can be strengthened and common future programs can be applied. Through this course, teachers participants was the living example of cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practice that Erasmus+ serves. Through our active cooperation we managed to a large extent to inspire students with a positive attitude in the light of the EU's values.
