The importance of small, family farms is increasing in rural development. There is a need of ecological, qualitative food in our country and abroad. Young people who are going to be farmers miss the skills how to develop closed ground plants' productivity, develop the ability to compete and to improve entrepreneurship. Most students are from farms which are not able to compete in nowadays market, they do not have a chance to work with modern equipment. Partners of the project while teaching agricultural programs and preparing future farmers do not have a chance to give students practical skills while growing closed ground plants. The purpose of this project is to give future farmers a possibility to gain practical skills while growing, looking after, selling plants of closed ground. Our partner abroad is Agricultural School in Norway. Practice period will be 2 weeks. The participants of the project will prepare PowerPoint presentations about activities done in practice period, gained competences, skills and groups of four will make make more detailed presentations of one topic: 1. The features of growing closed ground vegetables and leaves vegetables while seeking the possibility to compete; 2. Growing roses in hydroponics; 3. The equipment of packing and preparing production for selling; 4. The usage of small mechanization while growing closed ground plants. 5. Growing berry plants under cover. All presentations will be published on school's web page which address is widely known and it will be easy for everyone who is interested in agricultural machines. Students, farmers will be able to find out information about growing closed ground plants. Also there will be an education conference organized under the topic " The possibilities of developing small compete farms" where all participants will present their topics to students of agriculture, vocational teachers, farmers, everyone who is interested in growing closed ground plants and small farming entrepreneurship. Project participants will gain specific practical knowledge and skills while growing closed ground plants. These skills will let them practically in their country adopt this knowledge, create their own closed ground plants farms because there is a lack of them in Northern Lithuania. Practice in international surrounding will spread students view, they will learn to trust themselves, to be independent, responsible, willing and be able to study lifelong. Sending institutions will get back their students with more knowledge and skills who will share their knowledge with other students, it will encourage other students to be eager to learn foreign languages, not be afraid to go abroad to do practice. The prepared material by students will stay at schools, on webpage. It can be used by other students, teachers as teaching material. Gained skills will help them to be more competable in European labour market, encourage creating their own business and it will reduce the number of unemployed people.
