Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Upper secondary school’s new curriculum will be introduced 1.8.2016. In the same context, renews also curriculum for our school’s “Creative entrepreneurship”. Our school’s entrepreneurship has a tradition of many years and it is one of the pioneers in upper secondary schools’ entrepreneurship education. Through this project, the entrepreneurial education gets new sparkle. The project involves a total of 6 of the school's 32 teachers, including the principal. All of them act or have acted in the school’s entrepreneurial team and supervised in entrepreneurship education courses. The main goals of the project are renewing pedagogy and entrepreneurial activity and methods of assessment. These appear in the new curricula, for example, in different ways of finding common contents in different subjects, development of team pedagogy as well as in identifying and recognizing informal and non-formal learning. At its best, renewing pedagogy supports prevention of the school drop-out. During the project, the teachers network with new foreign colleagues and achieve certainty for foreign language use. The project is implemented in team pairs and each pair participates in different courses. Before the start of the project, each pair defines itself a learning task, the progress of which they reflect during the course. Course experience is reported, for example, as a vlog or a blog that are distributed to other teacher’s in the school and in Finnish networks for entrepreneurship education. The project will result in a dynamically renewing entrepreneurial curriculum and has a significant impact on the school-specific curricula, above all, on the school culture and pedagogical solutions. The new curriculum will take the school far in the 2020s.
