Utiliser les TICE dans l'enseignement de l'anglais
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Teaching a foreign language is part of the curriculum in primary schools in France. In our School, English is taught for 1h30 a week. Pupils have to reach the A1 level of the European framework at the end of primary school. Our school teachers do not all have an efficient level of English (reading / prononciations) to allow them to teach the language in good conditions. Our project is to improve language skills of school teachers in English and enhance their knowledge of teaching English. The provision and use of IT in language teaching and confronting their own professional experiences with other European teachers will provide to our staff better and enlarged practices. One teacher applies for a mobility with this first Erasmus + project, he is the director of the school, responsible of the management of the school and to initiate the dynamism of the school We expect results, first on teachers, who can continue with self-training throughout the project to improve their level of English and second, on pupils who will benefit of a better teaching to rise their level of English. Pupils should obtain better results during internal evaluations at the end of primary school and then facilitate the transition to secondary education in the "college". The level of the student's language in college will be analyzed to evaluate the project. If the evaluation shows positive results, and if our institutions and programs allow it, our school will initiate more ambitious projects to strengthen the practice of English.
