utiliser les technologies pour enseigner l'anglais
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our school would like to help its teachers to have a good knowledge in new technologies in order to make our pupils who come from underpriviliged social classes conscious of opportunities they could have in the school and in order to help them to be better integrated in the society and in the professional world. We would like to see only one person go to the course because Mrs Chatelus will be able to train other teachers . She will be able to report and make them do what she has been told. Mrs Chatelus, has been a teacher for 15 years and she regurlarly goes to the U.K (about once a year) in order to improve and to maintain her good level in English. She is deeply involved in her job, as much in the lessons as in the different projects taking place in our school. She has got many enriching ideas but it is not always easy to put them into practise without having the opportunity to attend specific courses. Mrs Chatelus who is a dynamic and motivated teacher will be able to use the equipment in the school thanks to this project. .She will then be able to : . take stock of the situation concerning the new technologies . draw her inspiration from other people's experiences . teach herself to using computers - prepare lessons - visit websites - have advice with podcasts, videos and authentic documents - listen and discuss different ideas to motivate pupils who drop out We have deliberatety chosen a course about new technologies because it is in connection with what our school needs to develop. As far as the dates are concerned, we would like the teacher to go in April (17th-25th)because it is during the school holidays and that teacher is keen on having training courses during her time off. We could have chosen next summer but it seems to be a bit too close because we would like the learner to prepare the project beforehand with the colleagues and it takes time. Since some of our employees leave the school in July 2015, it is wiser to start the preparation with the colleagues at the beginning of the scool year, that is to say next september. Mrs Chatelus will explain what is expected beforehand and what the colleagues will be supposed to do afterwards. It will be a big commitment in terms of time for her. The project will have positive effects for the concerned teacher and for her colleagues who will be indirectly trained. It is also very beneficial for the school whose aim is to open up to the international field. It will be beneficial to our pupils because they should become more tolerant, more concerned and more open-minded.
