Ustadan Çırağa, Bir Tarih Bir Kültür Projesi
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Mar 1, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our Project is built on Ahi- Community. The relationship between the master and apprentice has taken an important part of Turkish society for centuries and the communal life that has been founded on this relationship has been an active life style. 16 youngsters from İtaly, 16 from FYROM and 16 from Turkey will get together in Ankara which is an important centre for Ahi culture and will try to learn Ahi Culture through handicraft. All the activities organized in the course of our Project will be based on individual learning. In 6 out of 7 days of our Project period, our participants will experience Turkish handicrafts not through listening to the masters but in a master- apprentice relationship. An active learning process will be achieved. We do not believe that teaching our culture and vulturel values indoors will be a successful process. Culturel values, non-concrete cultural legacy and concrete cultural legacy that is handicrafts can only be learned permanently thorugh experiencing . with this belief, we will achieve our Project with active learning process. In the course of our project, the handicrafts works that are produced by our participants will be given as presents to the governors during our visits to political parties, TBBM ( Grand National Assembly) and local district administrators. Apart from these visits, our participants will give their work to each other as gifts and keep the memories of our Project.
