Uso del Mindfulness en el aula para trabajar de forma inclusiva con alumnos con tdah.

The Mobility project is carried out by the CEIP El Zargal Cenes de la Vega, a primary school near Granada, Spain, which has a population of urban characteristics with a middle socio-economic level. We have detected the need to learn methodological intervention strategies with the increasing number of students diagnosed with ADHD. These interventions, focused on diversity, are implemented in the classroom to be inclusive.In order to attend this need we have created two working groups, one of intervention in kindergarten and other in Primary Education. In these groups we do a self-training in Mindfulness or meditation techniques in the classroom.These students also have major problems in learning English so the use of these techniques in the second language is an innovative intervention.Most of the staff is involved in these activities and we think it would be interesting that any member could attend -in the call for KA1 2016- the course "Meditation techniques in the clasroom -. For teachers working with children aged 4-14". We need specialized training to address our necessity and thus this person may share that knowledge with the educational community.As we will meet staff from other European schools, we will be able to prepare two mobilities of teachers at the school in the form "Jobshadowing" to take place next call (2017).Teachers participating in mobilities must work with students with ADHD, have certified knowledge of English, interest in the European dimension of education and training in working with these techniques to improve the use of them.The aims of the activities is to learn how to catch the attention of our students, to learn to manage our emotions and stress, improve self-confidence of our students, teache them to relax, breathe and concentrate. In addition, several schools will be visited to see how they put these activities into practice.The methodology of the whole project is eminently practical, not only in proposed activities to the teacher in his mobility but also transmission to colleagues and students. We will do practice sessions all groups in mobilities and classroom.The wanted results are to acquire more variety of strategies, to plan and carry out Mindfulness activities with students with ADHD, to improve their school grades (especially English) and to gain more self-confidence.In addition, we want to be confident in the classroom by the presence of students with ADHD because we know how to act, to use vocabulary and expressions suitable to these activities in English and to get an approach to the way of working with students with ADHD and Mindfulness techniques in other European countries.Another objective is to involve the entire educational community so the benefits will become mainstream in our area and can be expanded to other schools through the Teacher Developed Center and other Parent assotiations.In the long term, our society will be formed by people who have good emotional control and who know and share techniques to manage their problems in a better way. These people will also have a better English level and value their membership in Europe thus building a better society.
