USING ENGLISH TO TEACH CONTENT AND COMMUNICATE WITH EUROPEAN SCHOOLS
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jul 1, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project USING ENGLISH TO TEACH CONTENT AND COMMUNICATE WITH EUROPEAN SCHOOLS aims to promote the use of this foreign language, English, among our teachers and students. Our school has been encouraging the use of English for the past 15 years by participating in language projects and international multilateral partnership projects . The main aim is to improve the teacher's and student's foreign language skills. This new project guides the continuity of our previous work. The project is based on using English to: - Teach non-language content in the context of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) - Serve as a communication vehicle with European partners in eTwinning or Erasmus + KA2 projects. The scheduled mobility activity aims to improve three faculty members English skills. This will increase the supply of teaching English at school. Our expectations are: - To achieve better results in our foreign language skill assessments applied to our students - To promote the overall participation of teaching staff in international projects The impact is believed to affect these three areas: a. Impact on teachers participating in the mobility, as they will improve their command of English language and knowledge on new teaching strategies b. Impact on the school thanks to the new abilities acquired by these teachers c. Impact on students who may experience greater exposure to the English language due to the increased number of teachers trained We genuinely believe that the project's long-term benefits can be achieved via the training activity outlined, and that this will greatly improve the quality of education we offer in our school.
