Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Jun 30, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our target group for the project will be 54 students of Vocational School from Zespół Szkół Nr 1 in Swarzędz. These students are learning to be mechatronics technicians. In our school sudents learn in order to become VW Company workers in the future in Poznań-Antoninek .The project will be realized in spring and autumn of 2017/2018. Connected with the project we are planning 3 exchanges of our students (18 of them) to Mlada Boleslaw VW company which makes Skoda cars. The main aim of the project is to improve students’ qualifications as mechatronics workers. The project can make the methodology of teaching more attractive for the students and higher the level of their qualifications as future workers in the company. Furthermore, the students will use modern IT systems as well as highly professional equipment for vehicle diagnostics. What is more, thanks to the project the students will be able to acquire better practical skills and this is very important on the work market nowadays. The project will also help our school as a modern centre which teaches different professions. Graduates of this school will be able to use the knowledge acquired during the project in their later work. These students will be able to use professional software for vehicle diagnostics.Additionally, the project will add the practical part to the process of education based on the Ministry of Education program. Another important factor for our students is to get to know the Czech culture, typical traditions for the area, improve their English language skills and learn cooperation in international groups. This project is the answer to the needs of work market and our cooperation with the Czech VW Company where the students will receive training. The project will be realized in a professional place suitable for vehicle mechatronics. Our school is not able to give proper training in our building because of poor equipment. That is why we chose the school in Mlada Boleslaw which have the needed equipment. During the exchange, lessons and training will be under control of teachers from the Czech Republic who tech professional subjects. The lessons will be taught in English. That is why during these lessons a Polish-English translator will also be present to make sure that the students will understand everything. Polish students will take part in the lessons in the Czech Republic for 10 weekdays. These lessons will help the students to improve their English professional vocabulary. In the afternoon, after the lessons, they will get to know the Czech culture. This exchange is very important, but before it takes place, our students need to attend extra lessons of professional vocabulary in English (60 hours) and vocational lessons (70hours). Additionally, there will be 8 lessons to show and explain the culture of the Czech country to our students. To sum up, we expect that the project will help our graduates to become better candidates on the work market in Poznań area, they will become more flexible and open to IT innovations. Additionally, after the project we plan to show its final effects to the public.
