Upside Down Tablet-Oriented Classroom
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project idea came out when the smart boards settled in our classrooms three years ago and supported by the delivery of the tablets last year. Seeing some misusing of these devices or being lack of the technology skills we needed to recommend teachers to attend some courses on these subjects by using the opportunity for school education staff mobility under Erasmus+ programme. Some of our teachers had heard about the innovative method "tablet-oriented flipped classrooms" when they joined seminars and conferences abroad, focused on using technology in the educational field , youth and pupils on the net. And They offered to learn and implement this new learning and teaching method in our school. The whole school staff agreed and decided that the only way to learn and to implement this innovative method is to join an international training course relevant to this topic. Our goal is: teachers become more confident and competent with technology appropriate to the classroom, so that they can create the ultimate collaborative, interactive classroom of the twenty-first century and ultimate enhance the teaching and learning experience for all learners. This project focuses on the use of language and ICT skills and tablet app. as an educational tool in classrooms and at home as well.. The main goal is to improve the skills and enpower the usage of the skills. This Learning Event aims to show to teachers how they can encourage their pupils to use mobile devices in learning. The target audience is mainly teachers who want to explore the possibilities with the use of mobile devices, such as smartphones. Other targets are students and their parents. During the event we will learn mobile educational applications that pupils can use in and out of the classroom, close the gap between the devices that pupils have and that are not properly explore in educational contexts, promote news ways of teaching and learning and alert teachers to integrate the use of this devices in eTwinning projects. The most important goal of the project is to prevent the early school dropping by the help of using innovative learning and teaching methods at school. The flow of the activities:1st mobility:"Tap -Swipe-Pinch General'' 9-15 October 2016 , 4 participants from our school2nd mobility:"How to make your school more digital'' 15-21 January 2017, 4 participants from our school3rd mobility: "'Tap -Swipe-Pinch in English” 28May-3June 2017,4 participants from our schoolContent and methodology:Participants are invited to bring in their own laptops and tablets (iPads, Android or Windows 8) in order to be able to work in their own settings and language. They will be used to provide all the support, information, further reading, case studies, discussions and support material (for preparation, course delivery and post-course learning and dissemination).Evaluation:Training will be evaluated by the standardised questionnaire. All sessions will be interactive, allowing participants to explore the software being learnt in detail and discuss its application with other participants as well as with the course leaders.our motto :"Technology will not replace a teacher. But if a teacher does not use technology they will be replaced by a teacher who does!"
