The common Regulations on Inland Water relating to watercourses constituting andintersecting the border is outdated. Therefore it was decided on a meeting of the WaterConservancy Technical Joint Committee in 2002 that the Regulation be updated by makinguse of IT developments, and technical knowledge and working practices be shared to improveco-operation. As a result of the surveys, places which require intervention were determined.The funding helped to supply excess water to several natural assets on the territories ofcommon interest to Hungary and Romania by way of determining possible places for waterreplacement.
