Start date: Aug 1, 2015, End date: Dec 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

In the frame of our project we will organize a long-term EVS for 5 volunteers from partner countries. The projects will take place from September 2015- September 2016 in Kwidzyn, Poland. The participants in the project are volunteers: Ukraine - Olha Glebova, Olena Kolesnyk, Galina Gorkusha. Georgia - Melita Tsaava, Bosnia and Herzegovina - Almedina Vejzagić. These are young people aged 19-24 years who want to increase their knowledge and skills in working with children, youth and disabled and young people at risk of social exclusion. The coordinating organization is the Akwedukt Association Kwidzyn in Poland. Volunteers will work in 5 different institutions in Kwidzyn (Kwidzyńskie Stowarzyszenie Oświatowe,"Eco-Initiative" Association , Kindergarten with integration parts, Special School) and the Association Latorośl in Malbork. The main objective of the project is to increase the openness of young people and youth workers to new cultures, challenges and opportunities in the path of education and employment. During the project volunteers will work using active methods ie. workshops, language animation, outdoor forest activities, swimming pool, pumping paper, country and cultural presentation and presentation of European Voluntary Service. We believe that intercourse with another man, let them overcome the barriers they have in themselves and develop their skills. In addition, the volunteers come from countries outside the EU, so it is for them a unique chance to get to know Europe and learn new skills. The impact on local society will take place in particular in the field of intercultural education. Breaking down barriers and stereotypes, learning about other cultures, will be an essential element of this project. Beside that thanks to our project inhabitants of Kwidzyn and Malbork will learn about the Erasmus+ Program and non-formal education.
