Search for European Projects

Une mobilité dans un pays de l'Union Européenne pendant la scolarité ; un tremplin vers un horizon professionnel élargi.
Start date: Jul 1, 2016, End date: Jun 30, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Camille Claudel vocational high school welcomes 950 students in different fields: selling and trade, catering business and assistance to individuals. The staff has been involved in European projects since the early 2000s. Our expertise in European classes attracts students eager to open up on the European job market and culture. As a matter of fact, the school staff is more and more involved in the European project as it is a real asset for the students’ future.34 Students are offered a mobility to Great Britain and Spain, most of them come from a deprived social and economical background. This mobility is a real opportunity to discover Europe: living in a foreign country will allow them to acquire new professional skills and therefore develop their professional practice and capacity of adaptation. In order to make the mobility successful, the students are well prepared. Indeed, the teachers use different teaching methods like role plays, videos, webquests so that the students can acquire professional vocabulary, the ability to write a CV and an application letter, discover the cultural aspects of the country. A real involvement from students is expected in firms and host families, a weekly report is sent to the teachers in order to prepare their final exam. We have regular contacts to check that everything goes smoothly in the companies and host families. Our local partners and tutors are people we can rely on to assess the students‘ skills and progress regularly. Thanks to the mobility, our students can develop qualities such as open-mindedness, self-confidence, curiosity and the will to succeed. All these qualities will help them to find a place in the world of work or to carry on their studies. In addition, this whole project conveys a better image of our school and it encourages us to develop European partnerships in order to make Europe a tangible reality for the students.
