IES "Prado Mayor" is a school located in the region of Murcia, in the town of Totana, which currently has 819 enrolled students distributed in the following lines: Secondary School (“O” and “A” levels), and Vocational Training, both Intermediate and Advanced Level. The center has experience in European projects. We have successfully managed several projects: Erasmus, Comenius, Leonardo Da Vinci and Erasmus +. Nowadays we have the Erasmus Charter of Higher Education (ECHE) for the period 2014-2020.Currently several Erasmus + projects are under way for students of Vocational Training Advanced Level of Administration and Finance to fulfill their FCT in Portugal, and another one for students of Vocational Training Intermediate Level in all specialties to fulfill their FCT in France and Italy. With this project we aim to provide our students of Vocational Training Intermediate Level with the opportunity to spend part of their practice (FCT module) in an EU country other than their own.The main objectives of this project are:- To motivate our students and eliminate absenteeism and dropout.- To support the studies of Vocational Training.- To increase opportunities for access to the labor market both in Spain and abroad and promotion opportunities.- Promotion of lifelong learning and mobility.- Promoting equity, social cohesion and active citizenship.- Enhancing creativity and innovation, entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit.- To improve the quality of education so that our students get higher qualifications.- Improving language skills in the languages of the project.- To improve the motivation of students, allowing them to know the culture of the countries around us.- To increase the motivation of teachers.- To improve the language and professional skills of teachers.- To exchange experience with organizations in other countries and to share good practices.- To know and appreciate the culture of our neighbouring countries. The profile of students in our training courses is a medium-low sociocultural level, in some cases with scarce personal maturity and from rural and disadvantaged backgrounds. With this project we hope to get 9 mobilities for students in our Vocational Training center belonging to the professional profiles of "Administrative Management", "Electrical and Automatic Equipment" and "Hairdresser’s/Barber’s".The length of the practices is 30 days and the chosen country is Italy. Our school will hold a selection process fair and transparent. Those companies that meet the needs of the job profiles of our students are chosen.Students will gain experience in both environments, local and abroad, and will enrich their practices (FCT), acquiring new ways to perform the tasks of the chosen profession. We will promote the use of Europass certificates and besides, the student will be issued a certificate of work experience in a foreign company. Thus, participants may use the certificates for their professional life, incorporating them into their professional curriculum vitae.Publicity of the experience and the results obtained will be given in different media (the website IES Prado Mayor of Totana, Erasmus + information boards of the school and in local newspapers). We will announce the results of the project at different levels of the school community and the municipality and we will take advantage of the ICT at our disposal to give maximum publicity to our experience. The results also will be published in the web of the Murcia's regional Department of Education. With this project we will improve the quality and effectiveness of their training, boost their creativity, innovation ability, entrepreneurial spirit and entrepreneurship. It will also improve their oral proficiency in other languages, capacity for teamwork and use of new ICT. All this will help our students to obtain a qualification to enable them either get a job or continue their higher studies. And this way, we encourage employability and increasing of the graduation rate.Being able to offer our students the opportunity for training placements in another European country makes our educational offer much more attractive. Thus we work against dropout, making students who wanted to leave the education system opt for Vocational Training. We believe that we must instil in our students the need for lifelong learning in their careers and mobility. We hope in the future to increase our fluency in managing our European projects, so that we can get in the future to a larger number of students. With this project involving the entire educational community we intend to complete the training of our students and expand their job prospects to the European market, in a labour world increasingly competitive and global. The intention of our organization is to continue giving our students the opportunity to do their training in companies abroad in successive courses because it is a greatly enriching experience.
