Context of the Project:We are a school involved in a Bilingual Programme, whose Non Linguistic Disciplines are Music, Physical Education, Arts and Crafts and Natural Sciences. One of our aims as directive board, as it is reflected in our School Training Programme, is to train our teachers in Methodological, resources and activities for the areas taking part in the Bilingual Programme.Number and participants’ profile:According to our needs, there are 7 teachers interested in this teacher training. All of these teachers take part in the Bilingual Programme in the school and one of them teaches French as a second foreign language. They also teach English, French and/or Non Linguistic Disciplines.Description of the activities: After the meeting held to prepare this Project, the activities chosen due to the school needs are the following: “English Language & Practical Methodology : Creativity in the Primary Classroom - Focus on Scotland - Dunfermline", "Erasmus + Enhanced English Skills - Edinburgh, Scotland" y "Europe entre Mythologie, Modernité et Multiculturalisme - PARIS"Methodology:The methodology used during this Project will be modern, individual and/or group work. Along the sessions of the project, workshops, seminars and any other kind of resources will be used. Furthermore, the selected course "Erasmus + Enhanced English Skills - Edinburgh" has a maximum of 10 participants, which is a very interesting point for us, as it offers the opportunity to improve and work the oral skills.Results and Impact:Our aim would be that the teachers taking part in these courses in foreign countries would be the ones to transmit the other teachers at school the knowledge acquired by means of a seminar, so they teach the others the methodology and activities learned along these training courses. Doing so, we will be able to involve all the staff in this training programme. Furthermore, we have planned to develop different workshops, which will be included in our school programming, making the topic of the training to be part of the topic selected by the school to develop all the cross-curricular activities (this way, students and families will be involved, so all the school community will get benefits from these courses), and also, developing new ICT activities, both for teachers and students.The dissemination of the results would be focused, first on the school, students and teachers, second on the families and our village and other people interested in the dissemination done by the school website and local TV. Last, but not least, we also have the aim of getting in touch with other institutions so we could work in a common project in the future. Benefits:Taking part in this Project, teachers will get a wider knowledge in Methodology and they could have a great bank of resources, apart from improving their linguistic competence.Students will improve their oral skills, listening and speaking, working with new motivating and innovating methods at the same time.
