Un acercamiento pedagógico interdisciplinar y multicultural a través del arte
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project stems from the awareness of a need: training in Art History and Aesthetics by participating teachers who teach core subjects of Bachelor of Arts, all with final destination in the center. An art school where teachers do not impart a teaching rooted in the arts, in the awareness of the urgent permeability of our materials to artistic knowledge, no longer is. The three parties involved in the same department, located deficit presenting their subjects and are willing to resolve it through lifelong learning. Activities to be carried out have been described above. They are based on focus given to a period of art (Renaissance and Baroque) and through the themes, motifs and topics of the moment. We will develop a job that allows further deepening and development of the abilities of students. Among others, reading and discussion of activities, visual art works from proposed topics (jobs that may be exhibited ) will be carried out, and interdisciplinary activities will arise, using the possibilities given to the fact that it joined teachers from different subjects. The methodology to be followed must necessarily be participatory, open, comprehensive and Europe- focused. It is aimed to develop student´s skills and interests, always bearing in mind that the teacher is an organizer rather than a masterful speaker. Predictable layouts will not be repeated, but to provide elements for discussion, reflection, relations between the different facets of knowledge related to the artistic component will be established, so that students in the School of Art and Design in Segovia can attach their needs to the their academic and vital interests. In terms of results the goal has already been established above, and it is tmainly o get students to enter into the world of art in a comprehensive way, relating it to other disciplines, which are already closely related, but often seen amd taught as academically separated. It is intended that this new approach are going to have an impact not only on the students´expectations , but on the pedagogical approach of the institution because joint activities and learning aproach can be made significantly different from the expected orthodoxy. The goal, ultimately, is an all-encompassing education, that guide students to get the knowledge expected at this stage, but also to instill in them the necessary curiosity to the ask them questions and have the answers on hand in a globalized and increasingly complex world requires them within an artistic perspective. Finally, although it may sound redundant, the benefits seem clear: to train a more critical and demanding students with a more European and less local vision, discover a new approach, deeper and more complex, search for a new teaching method and school structure much more focused on the relationship in the connection, raise consciousness of a culturally interconnected world where everything is channelled on the fusion of knowledge All this led to the joint effort that multiplies the results and makes education an immensely more fruitful and more intense experience for all.
