Greveskogen upper secondary school sends this application because over time we have learned that practice abroad gives students a professional and personal development beyond what we can achieve with practice in Norway. Our vision is that education should provide "good experiences and knowledge for life" and this project is an effort to achieve this.In education for chef -and waiter is the goal of bringing knowledge and skills in the subject:- Treatment of various raw materials and products used in irish cuisine- Cooking methods, comparing cooking methods they have learned in school with those used by the deployment period- Hygiene - safe food. Compare and how differences in Norway and Ireland. What can students learn in Irlandog what students can learn firms in Ireland.- Sensory - learn about how food tastes - new unfamiliar ingredients - appearance - smell: the Irish cuisine using other spices compositions and ingredients in its cuisine, learn these tastes.- Food and drink culture carrier - how is this in Ireland in relation to Norway- Communication with guests, make serving food- Ethics in the kitchen / restaurant - students' purpose is to study how one should act and behave during the deployment period.In education for reception and tourism is the goal of bringing knowledge and skills in the subject:- Hosting - expand service concept, based on the guest orientation and product knowledge - how is this in Ireland in relation to Norway- How is the overall tourism product built up in Ireland- Guest Understanding, understanding of and respect for cultural characteristics of different cultures and comprehensive service in this case Irish culture- Communication and cooperation between different players in the travel industry- How is the marketing activities of a tourism business in abroad- in this case Ireland- Develop knowledge of the conduct of their duties within the travel and tourism or reception trades.- What trends in tourism as a basis for innovation. What trends exist in Ireland.- How is the tourism industry built up in Ireland.Curriculum for ICT service subject has the following objectives which are relevant for the internship:• assessing and documenting an ICT service considering the current regulations for health, safety and security and privacy. Through comparison of Irish and Norwegian regulations become conscious justifications for regulations.• work by rules and agreements that regulate working conditions in the ICT service trade, and account for the employer's and worker's duties and rights in Ireland• perform tasks in an ergonomically correct way implement rollbacks by error and document events as part of the organization's quality work• to explain the enterprise organization and production• documenting and mapping business needs for improvement of an ICT service• communicate in English with the management, users, suppliers and professionalsCommon to all the education programs the goals for learning outcomes:- Could through the activity in the workplace in Ireland to acquire knowledge of the Irish work culture, as attitudes and etiquette- Could through the activity in the labor market gain an understanding and learn about the norms and rules that exist in relation to working hours, breaks and the follow-up appointments- Could through the activity in the workplace in Ireland communicate both with the staff at work and customers in English- Could adapt to a host family and follow the agreements made there and also be ableto transfer this into employment- Increase their confidence and to evaluate their actions in relation to being able to work in business and being away from their safe environment at home.We also learned that this enhances the expertise of teachers in particular and increases the school's expertise in organizing and conducting international projects and see the value of this.Something of value is that this is one of the measures to increase enrollment in vocational subjects, to complete and pass the training and to acquire a certificate.We seek this time about getting deployed 8 students in practice firms in Ireland for 6 weeks in cooperation with the mediation enterprise Alaymont. Students will stay with host families and will get a good knowledge of Irish familylife and culture.
