New Perspectives - Organizational quality development through language teaching improvement The overall purpose of the application is to obtain organizational quality development in the Újpesti Károlyi István Elementary and Secondary School. After having processed a thorough survey among staff to define the exact spectrum of needs they face in their educational work, we refined the circle of the most urgent institutional needs. I. The circle of organizational NEEDS/OBJECTIVES include: 1. the improvement of students' motivation level in the classroom, 2. raising and maintaining the pupils' interest in learning situations, 3. the introduction of modern methods of language teaching, 4. encouragement of the students to explore real-life sources of information instead of/beside the use of virtual sources, 5. popularization of library use, 6. and the development of the quality management system. II , The organizational needs can be reached by the following ACTIVITIES: 1., Teacher Training 4 members of the 12-member panel of foreign language teachers were selected by consensus for four different teacher training courses taking place in England, Scotland and Germany. Since the range of students taught by the selected colleagues include students from every grade, the entire organization is sure to benefit from the process. The course syllabi and the needs of the organization interrelate. The selected courses are as follows: i, Language and Methodology Refresher ( primary ) ii, Two- Week Refresher Course for Teachers of German . Methodology & Language iii, Active Methodology iv, Becoming a Teacher Trainer The mobilities take place in July and August, 2014. 2., School visit in a Danish secondary school A 3-member delegation of our school visits a secondary school with similar profile in the Danish capital in APril, 2015. The selected school is a 10-grade organization with 900 pupils. A series of pre-planned class observation, job-shadowing activities, interviews and the data collecting with the use of questionnaires will be executed. A long-term relationship with the hope of further co-operation, share of professional experience and student exchanges may root from the visit. III. The IMPACT of the mobilities The following impacts are expected by the realised mobilities: 1. greater intercultural awareness 2. professional development 3. new inspiration and enthusiasm for teaching 4. more effective teaching 5. new perspectives on teaching 6. greater knowledge of British, Scottish, German and Danish Education Systems IV . The expected EFFECTS of the entire project are 1. the development of language teaching 2. the improvement of the quality management system, 3. increased interest in and more widespread use of modern teaching methods , 4. extensive use of Europass CV and other certificates among staff and the secondary school students 5. the growing interest in and increased use of eTwinning , applications, projects and international outlook , The circle of organizational needs and the related activities are in harmony, they ensure the success of the project. By the wide range of dissemination the effects of the project are multiplied. The positive outcomes do not only effect the organizational quality management system and the quality of the education of 869 students by our 68 devoted colleagues, but by the publication in a national journal the every member of educational profession is to benefit.
